Story about Xing-Yuan Tea Garden
景源從小就在茶樹間嬉戲成長，長大後也會到茶園幫忙，父親創立星源茶園，是以爸爸劉明＂星＂與兒子劉景＂源＂的名字作為命名為＂星源茶園＂，希望兒子能把爺爺的茶農精神傳承下去，但景源對於茶園的事業從沒想到承接下來，外語系的他，到國外遊學練就英文本事！還在探索人生方向的時候，2007父親卻意外身亡，在親戚家人的鼓勵之下，毅然決然回鄉接手這個從爺爺傳承下的茶園，當時未滿三十歲的他，得到了來自中山區其他茶農叔伯的熱心指導與支持，學習茶葉的繁複製作過程與宜蘭茶特殊技術，星源茶園不使用除草劑及化學肥料，產量雖少但是品質優良，也是技術比賽的常勝軍，製作出來的宜蘭茶清香回甘，有固定的一群愛好者，而近年食安問題層出不窮，園區質地香純的限量苦茶油總是供不應求。
The name of Xing-Yuan is combined “Xing”-grand
father’s name and “Yuan”-grandson’s name. However the grandson-Ching-yuan was
no interest in being a tea farmer, he even went to Austria study English. He
was dreamed to be a teacher or policeman. 2007 an accident took his father
away, since now his life completely changed. He gave up his dream and
concentrate on learning how to make tea and being a farmer. Thanks to other
tea farmers in the village, they teach a lot tea technologies to the 21 years
old young farmer. Ching-yuan changes the farming way, he wants more friendly to the the land. Now Xing-Yuan Tea Farm has no pesticide, no chemical fertilizer
and no herbicide, even has organic certification.
傳統農業轉型休閒農業做國際推廣
星源茶園在2008年開始發展體驗活動，逐漸轉型有機走向休閒農業領域，漸漸走出自己獨特的道路，透過農業結合體驗的一系列活動
一天行程-簡易紅綠茶製作、茶園導覽、茶葉品茗教學、苦茶油生態、手工綠茶冰淇淋DIY以及兩天一夜的深度旅遊-製茶流程與製作。
當然也與當地民宿的結合提高農業的附加價值，到星源茶園不僅可以品茶、認識茶還可以體驗茶，讓農業能夠更有趣、更貼近民眾；
不僅如此，還兼任了中山村及休閒農業區的中英文導覽大使，對於推廣社區茶業文化不遺餘力。
Since 2008 Xing-Yuan Tea Garden starts to envelope
recreation activities with tea. Lead tourists to make tea, taste tea, and feel
tea. The most popular activity is Green-tea ice cream, let tourists know about
tea in a different way. Xing-Yuan cooperates with B&B and other tea farms, let
tourists stay in the village more time and increase the value of agriculture. Furthermore
Xing-Yuan receives foreigners who visit Jong-Shan village and translates for
them to know more about local culture.
2016年星源茶園把中山的故事以插畫的方式呈現，更能親近民眾，以圖像述說中山在地特色，讓中山的故事可以一直說下去……
